Arcade Permissions Exchange List

What is a permissions exchange?
Most gacha items are sold no-copy/transfer so that players can trade their extra items to one another in hopes of getting the exact item they want, or to complete collections. However, due to the nature of SL (which can delete or swallow items arbitrarily) or the desire to decorate with items (which makes no-copy versions clunky) it can be preferable to have a copy/no-transfer version. Some merchants allow transfer items to be turned-in or exchanged for non-transfer versions. The purpose of this list is to educate consumers about the services offered by each vendor so they can know prior to playing (or purchasing second hand, or trading) what their post-sale options are.

Things to consider when requesting an exchange.
Please remember that the merchants offering these exchanges are doing so as a courtesy to their customers; there is no obligation for them to do so. Also, since few merchants have automated systems for these sorts of exchanges, most of them fulfill requests manually. This means they have to reset permissions and then deliver them back which takes time. As such, the best rule of thumb is to be polite and be patient.

It may also be prudent to wait until after the Arcade round (or the later weeks of the Arcade) to give the merchant some breathing room between set-up/launch and filling exchange requests.

Why I think it matters.
There are many types of items included in each round of the Arcade, including buildings, fashion, furnishings, novelties, vehicles, and knick-knacks. Buildings and furnishings can be hindered when they are no-copy. If, for example, a chair is no-copy, you might have to collect several of them to put around a table. That becomes problematic if the chair is rare. In other cases, a player might be hesitant to tint a no-copy hairstyle or rez a no-copy vehicle. I believe gacha should be fun and a player should end up with exactly what they expect from their purchase. As such, being fully educated about post-purchase options prior to play/purchase is best for all concerned.

About This List
Notecards and/or IMs were sent to most merchants (in the first few days of April 2014) according to the contact preferences listed in their profile (when available). In some cases, CSRs were contacted in lieu of creators. In a few cases, having been informed by the merchant personally in my own exchange requests, I listed the preference explained to me at the time of my personal request. In the case where a merchant’s profile specifically stated they did not allow permissions exchange of gacha items, they were listed as such without additional contact.

I am in not, in any way, officially associated with The Arcade or any of the vendors listed here. This list is provided as a courtesy to other gacha players like myself. I will update as I get information from vendors.

This helps me as a consumer, I will be spending my Lindens will those who exchange as I feel safer with a copy version of an item.
