I Have To Tell You Something: A Nation of Seans

Grace & Salome: I Have To Tell You Something
Episode One: The Phantom Men… A Nation of Seans

This week the terrible two introduce their first episode of adventures without destination. In response to the horrifying reality that Sean McPherson cloning may encounter resistance from the primary source, extreme measures are presented for consideration.

Link for non-flash peoples.

Episode Note: For those who may not be aware, SeanMcPherson Senior is a supporter of the arts, a tech genius and the nicest guy we’ve ever met. He also leaves concerts early to have his wife’s supper ready when she gets home. A Nation of Seans is our only hope and we welcome your solutions to this global problem.

Additional Episode Note: Grace has final editorial control which is, you know, not fair. So she gets to add outtakes from stuff I said when I didn’t know she was recording. Please feel free to yell at her for this.

Series Note: Several years ago, Grace suggested we do a podcast together. I made a website and everything. Then we both realized we didn’t have the time and we both hated the sounds of our speaking voices. But the idea seems like fun now, so this new feature will be mirrored both here on SalomeSays and on Grace’s Phasing Grace blog (although mine will likely be posted earlier because Grace has a grown up job). We’re shooting for one each Tuesday on lighthearted but geek-crucial topics. We are also shooting for 2-5 minute podcasts, but are happy when it just stays under ten. I am working with a therapist to learn to not yap like a purse dog and take a breath so Grace can have a turn to speak. There may need to be some sort of electroshock involved.

I’d encourage you stray readers to see the real story here http://phasinggrace.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-really-good-idea-wagon.html

Squee! And funny too. As for collecting DNA sample, just offer a free blood sugar test.. Hair won’t work unless the actual root comes with it, and then only for a short while.

If I may make a suggestion, include a link to the page on podomatic or the download link for those devices without Flash

Thanks for the link Salome, my Android phone can’t do Flash for some reason. Yes I’m not sane, I’ve had occasion to visit Salome Says at times on my PSP (very old flash version), PS3 (it has recent flash so podomatic is fine) and the phone.

I do have some more tech comments and questions… Grace might need to up her mic output a little and how did you fine ladies record it?

I also forgot to mention cheek swabs, co-opt his doctor/dentist…have them take a cheek swab, then you have your DNA sample.

I’ve been in the presence of Sean a couple of times. I spent an entire hour with him at a luncheon. Had I known then that the world was in peril, I’m certain I could have requisitioned some SDNA. I could’ve stolen his fork or surreptitiously offered to dispose of his leftovers. If that turns out to be the last chance for the human race, I’ll feel awful!

Salome, thyis is an unrelated message, but I could’t find how or where to message you. You have to try The Secret World. It’s a thinking woman’s MMORPG that is absolutely wonderful! Spooky, clever, funny, and gorgeous!

lol – I would play Secret World and I joined up for Beta, but they don’t have a Mac client. Ah, well.

TSW also seems to have a “japanese-ish” design aesthetic, why didn’t they just do the thing for the PS3 and 360 in the first place.

It’s also a full price box + subscription game, in a world dominated by WoW and F2P.

Is WINE available for OSX, yes it is….you could try running TSW under that.

It’s not Asian in style at all….and you can run it under Boot Camp. The NPCs tell wonderful stories as they dole out the quests. Beautiful and well worth the price of admission!
